yStop 2021 – A year in review

Gong hei fat choy (恭喜发财)
If it’s not too late to look back on the Year of the Ox.

2021 was another momentous year for yStop, a few highlights were – winning the contract to manage the City of Stirling’s Illuminated shelters, promoting some amazing charities and getting some important Covid community messages out to the public with extremely short notice.

A few of the charities that we were fortunate enough to work with last year:

Here are two standouts from the year:

Be Inspired, a smaller charity headed up by Shane Johnstone went above and beyond last year. Shane completed the Delirious W.E.S.T. 200 Miler Ultra marathon, 300km + between Northcliffe and Albany in WA’s South West region for BIF. He smashed the record time by six and a half hours, a huge achievement – great cause.

The Big Issue celebrated their 25th anniversary in Australia, a Big deal. We were able to promote this celebration through an eye catching and fun campaign.

We all know what Big Issue does, we see the sellers when we are walking our streets. We thought we would extend the reach and bring the campaign to the suburbs of Perth.

They have helped so many people so far, here are some of their impressive stats:

Internally our team grew with a few new members last year – Bree Carmody, Zee Sabri and Louise Ellis. It has been great seeing the business grow in size and recognition. We moved to a new larger office and workshop in Osborne Park and our new General Manger Jamie Uren was appointed in December. So quite a lot of large developments.

To end here are some of our community stats from 2021:

We look forward to the year of the Tiger being kinder to all of us.
Thanks for your support and watch this space.
