Casey’s first time solar compacting bins

We have rolled out new solar compacting bins in City of Casey, to help clean up the area and beautify it.

The bins are a great upgrade to the old standard metal waste bins, as they feature cool new smart technology like solar power, remote monitoring and the compacting element which is 85% more efficient with waste and carbon emission reductions.

With an extremely heavy-duty durable design, it is made to last. Even using marine grade steel for coastal locations. Plus, the keyless operation deters vandalism and unwanted attention.

The system is made super simple by the integration with the online portal, sending an automatic message when the bin is nearly full and ready for collection. This is huge, as it optimises collection routes and times, saves fuel, reduces emissions and minimises community noise and traffic by reduced vehicle movements.

In Casey the bins currently feature eye catching community messaging to promote a cleaner and greener space. The bins advertising panels are a great place to promote messaging for local business and the overall community.

Trials are also currently in the works for various locations such as Bunjil Place Community Centre, various parks, trails and Botanical Gardens around Victoria.

Very exciting times in the waste space, we’ll post more pics as more bins roll out.
